This seminar will involve a general overview of the marital dissolution process in the state of Minnesota. This will include an analysis of the current status of the law with respect to custody and parenting time of minor children, issues of property division, spousal maintenance (aka alimony), child support, division of marital debt, pension division, and other matters typically addressed in a divorce. This also will provide an overview of how a judge handles matters from the beginning of a case until the matter is eventually resolved through an agreement or, if necessary, by trial.
